Aqueduct is challenging iPhone puzzle game, in the style of Pipe Mania. The object of the game is to rearrange the mixed-up pipelines in order for the water to flow from the faucet to the drain.
Aqueduct also incorporates elements of Sokoban and similar slider puzzle games. As well as figuring out where to put the pipes you also have to decide how to get them there through the maze. Other elements such as bridges, switches, conveyor belts and teleporters serve to add to the confusion in Aqueduct.
There are several different chapters to navigate in Aqueduct, with more than 140 unique puzzles in total. Each chapter contains several puzzles, and you need to complete all of them in turn to move onto the next chapter.
At first, you'll probably be thinking that Aqueduct is far too easy. The first chapter isn't taxing at all and can be completed in a few minutes. Once you past this, however, things start to get a lot more complicated. Get beyond the second chapter and you can expect to spend a good 10 minutes on each puzzle!
Aqueduct boast high production values, and the game looks and sounds very slick. The quirky, cartoony graphics include on-screen annotations explaining what the various elements are. The music is suitably eerie, adding to the tension of this challenging game.
Once you've completed all the levels in Aqueduct I can't imagine you'd want to come back and play them again, so in that sense the replay factor of the game is pretty low.
That said, Aqueduct is such a fascinating challenge that it will be tormenting your brain for many hours.
